Scammed by Affiliate Spadester Program
I think I've been SCAMMED again!
I'm not the only one that has promoted a fun place to play Spades online called Spadester. They seemed legit.
For about a year, I have been promoting Spadester on my SpadesWin.com and have several signups. I'd been thinking about a nice website redesign.
Heck, I'd been expecting a commission check pretty soon.
Fortunately I didn't put much into advertising so haven't lost much there.
The affiliate portal is www.SkillRush.com. I check it most days.
Yesterday and today it is not just DOWN, it's a BAD REQUEST(Invalid Hostname)!
I did some more research and found a few blog entries about Spadester NOT paying out winnings. I read they take the money and run.
I emailed a fellow affiliate promoter, to see if they have any ideas what's going on with SkillRush. They haven't replied. I bet they are PO'd, like me!
I sure would appreciate your comments about SkillRush.com or Spadester.com related to payments, commissions, and scams.
Let's EXPOSE them here!
Sometimes we seasoned online marketers still get "taken"!
Watch Out who/what you spend your time and money selling in your website business. Even when it seems legit, it may not be.

PS. Hey, if they are just having technical problems, I'll even delete this post. If not, then HEY - well, they deserve this dis, and YOU deserve the WARNING!
Meanwhile, I'll be changing my website - pulling it down or adding a user warning right away.

What is Online Data Entry?
I just got a great teaser email ad like this:
-------------
Subject: Finally a JOB from Home that really pays!
Yes your heard us right, Finally a job that pays you from working at home!
Easy Simple!
Great Pay!
Start Today!
No prior experience, education and NO special skills required.
11,000 Companies Need Your Help Immediately!
--> link to the affiliate getting the commission <--
Visit us NOW!
-------------
That is a great ad, BTW.
The landing page plays a nice intro to convince you to signup and
get a startup kit to learn an online data entry business.
Now, I know there is a huge list of typists who would like to work
at home, entering data for a company and getting paid on a piecework
basis.
At first, you think that's what this ad is offering.
You soon discover they are trying to convince you to try
something altogether different.
My earlier research should still hold. There are clever ways to
disguise it, but there is more money in promoting it
than actually being in this "online data entry business".
Here are the "Online Data Entry Businesses" I've uncovered:
1. Completing online surveys. This will get you on several "lists"
so that you will receive hundreds of emails about everything you
are "interested in". Your name and email address will be ALL over
the place; maybe your phone number too. Expect clever salespeople to
call you with more offers - AND SCAMS. (WebClubInternational found
me this way. They are out of business now - as major scam.)
OR,
2. Pay for training to enter Pay-per-click ads, like Google Adwords,
and, supposedly, earn commissions for affiliate products.
There are WAY better ways, (that WORK!) to get affiliate commissions.
Think about it.
If some company wants another typist, they hire another,
or get a temp from down the street or on Craig's List.
They are NOT offering data entry jobs online.
Sorry to disappoint - but don't fall for it. These are NOT
really part-time work-from-home jobs.
Are they scams - or just false expectations?
Either way, they don't PAY!
Always do your research!

PS. Here is where I explain some affordable methods to
learn how to get paid WELL doing affiliate marketing.

Get 2008 Economic Stimulus Refund SCAM

A most disturbing email arrived this weekend.
They even included this "official-looking" logo
(which, of course, anyone can copy with a "right-click - Save Picture As" command, like I did.)
The subject line was:
"Get 2008 Economic Stimulus Refund".
The Sender was: service@irs.gov = NOT!!!
Those unaware could click the link and give their bank account information to SCAMMERS from a .de host account. (I believe that's Denmark.) You find out when you check the Properties of the message.
PLEASE - DON'T EVER click a link on an email and enter ANY personal info!!!
Here's the clever text included in the email (fyi):
<<"
Over 130 million Americans will receive refunds aspart of President Bush program to jumpstart the economy.
Our records indicate that you are qualified to receive the2008 Economic Stimulus Refund. The fastest and easiest way to receive your refund is bydirect deposit to your checking/savings account.

Oh, and at the bottom it even had this in light grey:

WorldDect Hits the US Market
The MLM business offerings are options for those people who want to work-at-home and make money online in a home-based business.
How Do MLM's Work?
MLM (multiple level marketing) business plans have been around a long time. If you've had an Amway sales person tell you how great it would be to sell Amway products too, you've seen the plan in action.
A salesperson in an MLM may sell products, but they have a huge incentive to get more salespersons to also sell the products AND get more salespersons to join their "team" or "downline". This creates a pyramid where the commissions for product sales and sales member fees are split among those in each "upline".
WorldDect is a global MLM that is now being promoted widely in the US market. The promotion website is professional and full of testimonies and blurbs about the wonders of VOIP telephony - their "product".
VOIP is voice phone calls over the Internet (protocol). Isn't that basically the same thing as MagicJack or SKYPE? Offering VOIP via a USB port isn't even very reliable unless you have a beefy PC and great Internet connection. Now there is MagicJack and isn't that the same thing for only $20/year. It drops my son's conversations all the time. Skype works better - especially overseas I hear, and it offers the video camera's view too.
Personally, I think the WorldDect product has too much cheap competition and the added risk of the MLM pyramid makes this a losing proposition.
Read more about WorldDect and MLM's at PlanBreview.com.
There are many great ways to make money online without scamming others and pushing pyramid sales methods to everyone we know. You can try affiliate marketing or selling online in a niche you enjoy with the ideas at PlanBreview.com.

This would come as a SHOCK to investors and "Googlers" alike who both profit and benefit from the use of the World's largest and most powerful search engine which receives far in excess of 100 MILLION unique daily visitors and well over 300 million individual searches daily - making it perhaps the single most valuable public data resource as an "information bank" online the world over.
